Welcome! The Minerva University Institutional Review Board (MU IRB):

1. categorizes whether plans for collecting or analyzing information about humans counts as "Human Subjects Research" (HSR)
2. reviews, and potentially approves, HSR
3. monitors HSR
4. provides required training before Minervans can do HSR
5. provides optional training Minervans might choose to do, depending on their situation and goals
6. is available as a resource that Minervans can choose to consult about #ethicalconsiderations and #professionalism whenever they are getting or analyzing information from people (even when your work is not categorized as HSR and/or is being done via a non-Minerva affiliation, and so does not require you to consult with us)
